Our principal activity is the milling of sugar cane
to produce raw sugar of internationally recognised high quality. All
our sugar is exported. Molasses is produced as a by-product of the
sugar extraction process and is a valuable cattle feed supplement. The
molasses we produce is sold into both the domestic cattle feed and the
international markets.
One of the very few
sugar mills that continues to allow tourists to inspect our operations

The Savannahlander is a train journey which begins in Cairns
, Australia. It is one of the great rail experiences of the world as it
rattles its way from the coast, up the scenic Kuranda Range (the Kuranda
scenic railway) including stops at Barron Falls and Stoney Creek,
through World Heritage listed rainforests to Kuranda. It then continues
on through the agricultural areas of the Atherton Tablelands then into
the Gulf Savannah region - to Outback Australia. The Savannahlander is not only a unique train trip but a
great way to see the Chillagoe Caves , Cobbold Gorge and the Undara Lava Tubes.
During its operating season the Savannahlander departs Cairns every
Wednesday at 6.30 am. The 2010 season starts
on the 3rd of March and the last departure for the year
is on the 15th of December.
